Hello! I’m Tammy.

I’m glad you’re here.

Let me tell you a bit about myself, and how I came to be a coach. First, the bullets:

  • Professional coach, CPCC

  • 20-year veteran of project/product management

  • Leadership roles at 2 start-ups

  • A 4x start-up team member

  • Current leader of Digital Communications in Regional Government

  • An unusually empathetic ear to bend

  • Married with two daughters, a chocolate lab and a cat.

  • Let’s Go (Minnesota Timber) Wolves!

  • Musical theater, live music, XC skiing, trying new things

Now for my story:

I have had a long and diverse career in everything from advertising to software development. Every role I’ve ever had—even as far back as elementary school student council—was all about how to identify, commit to and accomplish goals.

In some ways, becoming a coach only made sense as a next step. But the truth is that I became a coach because I experienced the life-changing value of coaching personally.

There came a time in my career when I’d felt like I’d hit a dead end. I felt drained and defeated every single day. I couldn’t keep going the way I was, and so I started looking for help to figure it out.

Enter: my coach.

My coach helped me to see myself and my value much more clearly. She helped me understand what mattered to me, and how to get out of my own way to get it. It sounds simple on the surface, but I’ve found that having a coach challenges you in ways you need to be challenged in order to reach your potential.

So, equipped with increased self-awareness, I started showing up differently at work. I was focused, confident, and ready to dig in and do some of the best work of my life. And I did. I lead very complex projects. I stood up new programs and processes. I helped to sign significant volumes of new business. I helped stand-up businesses. I mentored early-career project and product managers. I launched products. I solved a lot of problems.

All of this meant work started to feel totally different. It was transformational.

I wanted to do for others what my coach did for me. With that in mind, I started coach training. I dove in with everything I had. I took every class, attended every event, read every book. But most of all, I coached. And coached. AND COACHED. As much as I could! I made sure that every day of my life, I was either coaching, being coached or studying coaching.

Suffice it to say, I absolutely love this work. And I believe in it! After all, I am a case-in-point of what can happen when a coach intervenes.

Shall we get started?
